The Friends of the Hershey Public Library have been conducting an annual book sale since 1981. The Friends Annual Book Sale provides a significant source of funding for Friends activities and programs. Last year the Book Sale raised over $46,000! These funds are used entirely to support the Hershey Public Library -- through programming and even physical improvements. Friends funded the redesign of the Hershey Room and the Lobby. Used book donations are accepted at the Library through mid-June of each year. These books are then sorted weekly for quality and by category and boxed by a dedicated group of volunteers. 2017 BOOK SALE DATES: SATURDAY, AUGUST 5 - THURSDAY, AUGUST 10. FRIDAY, AUGUST 4TH IS FRIENDS PREVIEW NIGHT (MEMBERS ARE INVITED TO TO PURCHASE BOOKS BEFORE THE SALE OPENS TO THE PUBLIC)
